Post From My New Blog — Finding Our Way Through

We can only reach new heights by getting over our lowest points. There are ups without downs. Embrace the hard times and use them to elevate yourself to a higher plateau. Our emotions entrap us at times, keeping us grounded. It is normal to feel sad during hard times but it is also possible to feel happy during sad times if you allow the joy to overcome that sorrow within you. I am happy at the moment, but that doesn’t mean I can’t feel sadness at any moment. You control your emotions. If you feel sad, it is because you allow yourself to feel that way. Stop the sadness and allow yourself to feel happiness when you need it the most. If all else fails, listen to the song in the link – Pharrell Williams – Happy

What Makes Us Human

emotions

You’re the same as me; you make mistakes just as I do. The only difference is that I own up to my mistakes. I don’t avoid the doubt casted upon me because of the decisions I’ve made. I am a man who owns up to everything. I deal with my problems because I made those problems. There’s no easy way out. Casting the pain onto others, or ignoring your faults will only lead to confusion. Man up, step up and take ownership of your emotions. Don’t be something you’re not. That’s how you end up lost. Be you, be honest, and don’t avoid the pain. The pain helps us grow. It helps us understand how to be humans, not robots. We’re either controlled by our emotions or we learn to control our emotions. We shall no hide in the shade when the sun is burning up the ground beneath us. Stand there and fight the heat at all costs. If you shall burn than at least you’ll burn with pride – knowing you didn’t run away from anything. You stood there like a human being who knows right from wrong. You didn’t cower away from anything. That makes you a man. That’s what makes you human.

Being Shamefully Positive

It is no secret that we’ve all dealt with some shame in our lives. It’s also no secret that sometimes we let that shame get the best of us. Whether you are aware of it or not, there are ways to grow through that shame – using it as motivation and fuel to accomplish more. Shame is only temporary, and so is pain, but the happy things can last forever. I have personally been through some rough times but I’m getting better at accepting failure. When you can look failure in the eye and tell it that it will not get the best of you, then you’ll start to see life in a different light. Failed relationships, heartache, stress and plenty of other factors can contribute to feeling down about thing. Still, don’t let those things control you. Whatever you lost or missed out on, you can always get it back if you try hard enough. The more time you spend worrying about what is gone, the less time you’ll have to make things better. While you should always take time to reflect and completely grasp what’s happening around you – don’t hold on too long. Find a way to accept things and then let go.

I Set My World On Fire

I have set my world on fire. Burning everything that has held me back before. I will take the ashes and use them to rebuild my life. No longer will I leave a gasoline trail so that someone can throw a lit match when I reach my goals. No one will be able to deter me from success. As that fire burns, I’m searching around on my soul to throw any negativity into the blaze. I will do away with all the bad. I feel more relieved as the pain turns into thick black smoke, disappearing into thin air. It will be a test to rebuild but that’s fine with me as long as the pieces come from positive components.

Let There Be Love

Why do hate me? What have I ever done to deserve your disapproval? Don’t you realize that I have enough love within myself drowned out your bad vibes? If I were you I wouldn’t be wasting my time dispensing hatred. Give love a try. Dig deep within in yourself and find that silent bit of light buried beneath the darkness of your soul. Believe me, it may not feel like it, but it’s  buried down there somewhere. I know this because I used to be just like you. Upset at the world, wondering why everything is so much better for everyone else;  looking up at the sky and wondering if anyone up there is protecting you, or if something beneath your feet is slowly dragging you under. You hide in the shadows, away from the light just so no one will find the pain overcoming your entire existence.

Fight that pain, and dig until you can’t dig anymore. Come up with a solution within yourself. The world and what’s happening around you won’t change anything; only you can do so. You can’t take your emotions out on everyone. There’s no reason to drag everyone else down with you. If you aren’t going to adjust to the troubles that come along with the gift of life, then there’s no reason to live. Peace is there; you just have to want it bad enough to get it. Once you find that peace, you have to spread it around,  because there’s a million people like you and I, fighting within themselves, searching for that light hidden in their dark. Change is coming, even if you don’t want it. You’ll go through something that will set everything in motion. It may be the most difficult situation that you’ve ever encountered, but you’ll rise from the ashes, reborn like a phoenix with the wings of an angel.

That hate that once consumed your body will slowly be eradicated and replaced with peace, love, and true happiness. You will then not have to hate me anymore. I won’t have to wonder why you want me to suffer when I’m just trying to be myself, and make the best of whatever it is I have at moment – even if it isn’t much in your eyes – its everything and more to me. Life is precious but it is very fragile. Surround it in the comfort of something positive and it will strengthen. Once the love is in you, it will grow until it towers over all hatred. If you ever fall – you’ll have that peaceful love to cradle you back to safety.

As Free As I Want To Be

Spirit

The world needs more free spirited people. The type of person that wakes up and puts no limits on themselves. The type that believes they could soar without wings, and without fear of falling. We need people who aren’t slaves to their own life. If we could all just be free within ourselves then we could all enjoy life to the fullest. We could live life without regret, without fear, without direction, as long as we’re alive, we have the right to be happy. Money, jobs, and materialism may be important to you, but you shouldn’t be consumed by anything, at any point in your life. We are all born free. As kids, we are free spirits, without worries, we live without boundaries, we smile at the smallest gestures, no one can do wrong in our eyes. As we grow older, most of us begin to lose sight of all freedom. In search of security, we turn in our freedom for chains. We’re bound by our own goals, lost in life, searching for answers to questions that need no answer. We strive to be rich, losing sight of the value in just being able to live, to breathe, and to love. Free yourself, express yourself, but always be yourself.
